The London Clinic expands presence in Gulf region with extensive attendance at Arab Health

Arab Health, the world's largest multi-track healthcare congress (23-26 January), provides The London Clinic with an opportunity to showcase its world-renowned expertise to the Middle Eastern medical profession.

The London Clinic is the UK’s largest independently-owned hospital, offering world class facilities, cutting-edge technology and internationally leading medical expertise. It was officially opened in 1932 by the then Duchess of York (later to become the Queen Mother), and has a long tradition of medical expertise and clinical excellence for patients from the UK and abroad.

The Clinic remains at the forefront of medical excellence and opened the doors of its £90m state-of-the-art cancer centre – housing the latest radiotherapy and radiosurgical technology – to patients for the first time in 2010. The London Clinic was also recently granted the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade Category, reflecting its commitment to investing in the needs of international patients.

Karen Bullivant, Marketing Director at The London Clinic, says "In particular, the Clinic provides a bespoke and comprehensive service for international patients. We take a holistic approach that focuses on both the practical and emotional aspects of care. In addition to providing a personalised touch for those travelling from afar, we can also offer advice or assistance required via our international representative, Paul Johnson, based in Dubai, UAE.  In short we are fully committed to ensuring discretion and confidentiality, as well as responsive, respectful treatment."

The London Clinic will be exhibiting at the Arab Health and is also supporting several of its leading consultants speaking at the Congress on various topics including:

  • Professor Simon Taylor-Robinson, Professor of  Translational Medicine and Consultant Hepatologist, discussing non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)
  • Professor Peter Harris, Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon, presenting his experience in the new treatment EndoVascular Aortic Aneurism Repair (EVAR) for simple and complex aortic aneurisms
  • Mr Elliot Sorene, Consultant Orthopaedic, Hand and Upper limb Surgeon, sharing the success of pioneering techniques in vascularised bone grafts in the wrist and hands

Further presentations will also be given by a number of other high profile experts from The London Clinic including:
