Arab Health Ebook 2011

In the GCC, the healthcare workforce is very diverse in terms of culture and training backgrounds, which induce differences when communicating to patients. Recent studies show that despite the needs for comprehensive medical services in the region, there is still a gap in communication and fundamental clinical skills of healthcare practitioners. A minimum standard of competency and expertise should be created to ensure quality and patient safety. This strain is further challenged as a large portion of the healthcare workforce is transient in the region, creating a high turnover rate.

In this month’s issue of the Arab Health e-book we speak to Dr Sarper H. Tanli, Executive Director of Methodist International, Europe-Middle East-Africa, about the role of simulation training in educating the region’s healthcare workforce.

I hope you enjoy reading this issue of Arab Health e-book, and feel free to comment on any of the articles.

With new innovative products, the known standard implants and a high quality aspiration it was possible to reach a top market position.

Product programme:

The main focus area is formed by angle-stable and variable angle-stable plate systems consisting of steel and titanium.

The special feature of the angle-stable systems is that with a patented special screw thread the screw and the plate can be bolted together in a stable angle. With a much higher stability of the screw-plate-bone-connection a quicker fracture healing is possible.

The variable angle-stable plate system is the most recent development by Königsee. With these systems the doctor has the possibility to set the degree of the stable angle individually and is therefore more flexible to react to the individual anatomical situation of each patient.
