David Rosenthal is a Professor of Pediatrics in the division of cardiology, at Stanford School of Medicine.  He is the holder of the Roma and Marvin Auerback Pediatric Scholar, and is the founder and Medical Director of the Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Therapies Program.  His primary clinical focus is on heart failure, ventricular support and heart transplantation.  He has an active research program focused on the use of ventricular assist devices in children.  More recently, Dr. Rosenthal co-founded the ACTION network, based in North America, which is focused on improving outcomes of children with ventricular assist device theray through a combination of quality improvement, education and research.
