Mark Schickendantz, M.D. is the Director of the Center for Sports Health at the Cleveland Clinic. Since 1992, he has been team physician for the Cleveland Indians professional baseball team and was named Head Team Physician in 2003. Additionally, Dr. Schickendantz was Head Team Physician for the NFL Cleveland Browns from 2010-2103. He is past President of the Major League Baseball Team Physicians Association and is a member of the Major League Baseball Research Committee.  He serves as the Assistant Program Director for the Cleveland Clinic Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship and is Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University.  Dr. Schickendantz specializes in the treatment of athletic shoulder and elbow injuries and has published and lectured extensively on the topic of ulnar collateral ligament injuries of the elbow.
