Dr. Wada is the President of Saiseikai Otaru Hospital and Chief of Hand and Elbow Surgery, the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Wada received his medical degree and Orthopaedic residency from Sapporo Medical University. He then received subspecialty training in Hand Surgery with the prestigious fellowship of Drs. Seiich Ishii, Masamichi Usui and Toshihiko Ogino in Sapporo. Dr. Wada is an internationally recognized upper extremity surgeon who treats disorders of the hand, elbow, and peripheral nerve. Dr. Wada also performs microsurgical reconstruction of neoplastic condition of the upper and low limb. He has published over 100 articles about these treatments, as well as his research about tumor and pain. Dr. Wada is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and has the additional certification in surgery of the hand, rigorous, additional quantification for subspecialists. He is a member of the Japanese Society of Surgery of the Hand and the Japanese Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery. He has served on the board of directors of the Japanese Elbow Society and will be a President of the Annual Meeting in February 8-9, 2019. He resides in Sapporo with his wife and enjoys golf and swimming.
