Global Health App Evaluator, ORCHA, Exhibits Apps Library at Arab Health 2020

The Organisation for the Review of Care and Health Apps (ORCHA) is delighted to be exhibiting at Arab Health 2020 from 27th to 30th January. If you would like to learn more about implementing robust digital health solutions into healthcare delivery, why not visit ORCHA at stand H2.G50Q in the ABHI UK Pavilion?

ORCHA Co-Founder and CEO, Liz Ashall-Payne, will be exhibiting our digital health solution alongside Business Development Lead, George Kowalski, as part of the Academic Health Science Networks (AHSN). The fifteen AHSNs work with patients, industry, and the health and care sector, in order to enable the most effective digital solutions to reach more patients more quickly.

As the world’s leading health app evaluation and distribution organisation, one of ORCHA’s primary objectives is to implement safe health and care apps into patient pathways and primary care. ORCHA’s extensive App Library, comprising almost 6,000 health and care apps, enables end users to access the most effective and trustworthy digital health solutions which best fit their individual needs.

In line with the NHS’s Long Term Plan to transform health and social care, ORCHA unlocks the power of digital health for the benefit of patients, professionals and populations across the world. ORCHA offers unique app review, accreditation, curation and recommendation services. On a global scale, we help governments, and health and social care organisations, to support their service users with apps that will make the biggest impact in terms of improving outcomes.

With over 365,000 health apps on the market, ORCHA’s 260-point App Review process breaks through the noise of unregulated and untrustworthy apps. ORCHA addresses challenges such as awareness, access, trust and governance of health apps by providing an extensive App Library, the AppFinder. This digital service will be exhibited on ORCHA’s stand at Arab Health, where attendees will have the opportunity to see demonstrations of the App Library, and be able to search the platform themselves to discover profusion of evaluated health and care apps.

ORCHA's AppFinder is an extensive, searchable App Library comprising almost 6,000 health and care apps, all of which have undergone ORCHA's robust Review process. All apps on the AppFinder have been evaluated according to Clinical Assurance, User Experience and Data Privacy, meaning our platform is safe, efficient, and enables the best apps to be identified. Users can filter searches by numerous categories and subcategories, including health condition, age-range, country, key functions and features, and paid-for or free. ORCHA also provides customisable 'microsite' versions of the AppFinder, which organisations can purchase to drive uptake of health and care apps.

Another of ORCHA’s services is the Pro-Account, which is the key to embedding and integrating digital health into day-to-day care delivery. A Pro-Account provides all the tools and support required for professionals to interact safely and effectively with ORCHA's digital health solutions, as well as providing health and care organisations and systems with the ability to monitor, manage and govern all elements of the digital health integration lifecycle. The Pro-Account allows health and care professionals to quickly find and recommend ORCHA’s digital health solutions directly to the end user, and includes functions such as: Favourites, Recently Recommended, Quick Search, and Advanced Search Features.

Liz Ashall-Payne, ORCHA’s Co-Founder and CEO, commented, “Arab Health 2020 is a fantastic opportunity for ORCHA to demonstrate the value of utilising safe digital health apps. Across our extensive collaborations with NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups and Trusts, Local Authorities, charities, and health and care organisations in the Netherlands, we have seen the difference that our AppFinder has made. For instance, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust’s different clinical services have used the ORCHA App Library to support patients in self-management through the use of healthcare apps. This has allowed patients to take better ownership of their health and, crucially, engage with their care in a safe manner.”

If you are interested in acquiring a bespoke AppFinder Library with Pro-Accounts and other customisable features for your organisation, or would simply like to learn more about how ORCHA are harnessing digital, mhealth solutions to deliver better care for patients, please do visit stand H2.G50Q to speak with ORCHA’s representatives. Our stand will be demonstrating the App Library and how to utilise a Pro-Account across all four days of Arab Health 2020.
