During the biggest healthcare event in the region - Arab Health 2022, Latvian healthtech company will launch the world's first “Heart Health in a Box” concept. It is the first solution in the world offering at home heart health assessment, combining the medical as well as wellness screening.
Dubai, UAE – Healthtech innovators and cardiologists working under the name of UPOlife, have developed a new product – UPOlife Wearable Biosensor Patch. Solution also directly addresses the pandemic caused challenges, allowing users to assess their heart health and wellness state remotely.
UPOlife Wearable Biosensor Patch is a disposable medical-grade heart health screening device with internal data storage for up to 7 days. There is no need for additional applications and no need to visit the doctor to apply the patch.
The patch allows patients to perform vital signs monitoring while continuing their daily activities. Device records two-channel electrocardiogram (ECG) signal, heart rate and heart rate variability. The UPOlife team then uses this data to perform a full heart health and wellness report. Any finding is then validated by a professional cardiologist.
UPOlife heart health report is equal to hospital performed Holter report, analyzing any rhythm events and possible arrhythmia occurrence. Doctors in many countries are already suggesting such heart health screening for anyone after the age of 50 even if there are no signs of disturbances.
In addition, the UPOlife wellness report is analyzing the heart rate variability parameters extracted from ECG. Users will see stress and recovery balance during the day and night, and can use this data to avoid the burnout risks.
Today, 69% of patients' care is disrupted including many missed doctor visits and health check-ups. At the same time, heart health is still the no.1 cause of death in the world. That is hugely, because of untimely diagnostics that lead to the rapid progress of life-threatening diseases and elevated daily stress levels for many employees nowadays.
Atrial Fibrillation is the most popular arrhythmia in the world and it also elevates the stroke risks up to 5 times. Unfortunately, the current practice for Afib screening, including 24 hour Holter ECG monitoring, is missing a lot of potential cases that go undiagnosed.
UPOlife Wearable Biosensor Patch with 7-day wear life can increase Afib findings 3 times. It is also much more comfortable than regular Holter monitoring and can be easily self-applied.
During the years of pandemic, Gartner reported that 85% of employees experienced higher levels of burnout. To raise the mental health awareness and inform people about their stress-recovery balance, UPOlife has added the full wellness report as an option for “Heart Health in a Box concept”.
UPOlife will launch the new product during the Arab Health 2022 Exhibition from 24th to 27th of January, 2022 at Latvia country stand, H1.B30.
UPOlife is addressing many atrial fibrillation and heart failure cases around the world, helping to provide early diagnostics, as well as regular heart check-ups.
