• New Gloving Solutions for Allergies and Dermatitis (Sensoprene & Hybrid technologies) This is about allergies. Both patient and healthcare workers need to be aware of latex allergy as it can kill. Hence, providing latex free OR environment in the hospital is becoming a trend. Also, a lot of healthcare workers suffer from chemical glove allergy as well, leading to loss of working days or even need to phase out of OR. We are going to speak about new technologies that solve both problems without compromising comfort of the surgical staff.
• Advanced Glove Technology Focused on Quality, Hand Health and Safety (Ergonomics and ART) The topic is about solutions that can help OR teams perform better. This topic will focus on improving quality of gloves used in the operating room, preventing dangerous intra-surgery breaches, extending the longevity of the gloves while having a better protection. Also, Healthcare Worker hand comfort has direct impact on their productivity. And we have solutions to help with ergonomics thus, encouraging better outcomes.
• Breach Protection During Surgery (AMT) The topic is about unique antimicrobial technology that protects both Healthcare Workers as well as patients. Surgical glove breaches can occur during surgery regardless of the professionalism of the staff. This means possible contamination for Healthcare Workers with numerous dangerous bloodborne pathogens such as HIV, hepatitis, etc. For the patient such an event could mean surgical site infection leading to delayed healing, readmissions, even death. Double gloving helps reduce the occurrences, but not completely eliminate them. Hence, the new technology that can actually kill bacteria and viruses actively helps prevent such issues.
